Santo Domingo church
A set of church and monastery, built by the Dominicos
in the 16th century. Atrium and main facade take over the eastern side
of the Santo Domingo Square, which was configured according to the first
Hispanic city layout. The architectural features are mudejar and
plateresque and, in the same way as in San Francisco, they combine in a
gracious and beautiful whole. Moorish features impress in it's interior;
mostly in the sealing and in the chorus. |
