The Teleferico Quito is considered one of the highest in South America, located in the foothills of the Rucu Pichincha volcano, it has become one of the main tourist attractions of the city, for national and foreign tourists.
The ascent is done in glass cabins, it starts from the motor platform located at 3,117 meters above sea level and ascends to Cruz Loma at 3,947 meters above sea level, the trip lasts approximately 18 minutes, with a beautiful view of the city and the Andean forest It is mainly made up of eucalyptus, pumamaqui, achupallas and romerillo.
Upon reaching Cruz Loma you can see the city of Quito in all its splendor from its viewpoints. On a clear day you can see the valley of Los Chillos, San Rafael and Machachi. Also, the Atacazo, Cayambe, Corazón, Ilinizas, Cotopaxi, Pasochoa, Rumiñahui and Antisana volcanoes.
